Introduction
The Peshitta Institute studies the Syriac Bible translation (the Peshitta). The Peshitta Institute is part of the Faculty of Religious Studies of the University of Leiden. It is the coordination centre of Peshitta projects and activities (as listed below), in which a number of international scholars and research institutes participate. These projects and activities are related to the research program of LISOR: The Hebrew Bible and its Ancient Versions.
