Op 1 en 2 december 2011 vond in Brussel het congres 'War, the State and Entrepreneurs in Early Modern Europe' plaats. Het relatief besloten congres, met een kleine dertig deelnemers, was een groot succes. De boeiende paperpresentaties waren aanleiding tot levendige en enthousiaste discussies.
