Major decisions of the N.W. Posthumus Institute are taken by a General Board, consisting of the holders of chairs in economic and social history at the participating institutions. The board meets three to four times a year. The daily affairs of the Institute are in the hands of an Executive Committee and a scientific director supported by an officemanager.
