- The (intellectual history of the) Muslim Brotherhood and quietist/political Salafis in Jordan;
- Salafi ideology and theology;
- Islamist ideology and Islamist movements in the Middle East;
- The reception of the Arab Spring by radical Muslim ideologues;
- Political theory and philosophy in the writings of modern Muslim thinkers;
- The religious-scholarly debate on gender-mixing in Saudi Arabia.
