Flags at half-mast and a minute's silence for Paris

Today at noon we will observe a minute’s silence as a token of respect for the French nation, following the recent events in Paris. On behalf of the Faculty Board I would like to invite all colleagues and students to join us at this hour.

Those who want to share this moment with others are welcome in the central hall of the Lipsius building, where I will be present as well.

Our thoughts are with all those who have been affected by these tragic events, and we wish them strength and fortitude. Sadly, Paris is not the only scene of such appalling events. Our thoughts go out to all innocent victims of terror.

Kind regards,
On behalf of the Faculty Board,
Wim van den Doel
