LEF Theater Group gives goosebumps: Bram Stoker's Dracula
From 17th –19th December, start your Christmas holiday early and enjoy a night out with the LEF Theatre Group. Although it won't be much of a Christmas spirit! In our newest production, 'Bram Stoker's Dracula', the funny, silly Dracula who has invaded popular culture with his plastic fangs, cackling laugh and black cape will make room for a more real, more mysterious Count. Gone are the days in which he was something to be laughed at: this play will frighten and repulse you!
The audience will immerse themselves into London and Eastern-Europe at the dawn of the 'new' 20th Centry in 1899. Young solicitor Jonathan Harker is sent to Transylvania to sell the ruins of London's Carfax Abby to the nobleman Dracula. However, not all is what it seems.
At Castle Dracula, Harker discovers his host is an undead, a vampire, who plans to find fresh blood. In England, Dracula's powers and blood-lust haunt Jonathan's loved-ones. Old friends are brought in to help with the crisis and break the Count's might once and for all. But will they succeed? Will they survive, and will the powers of light triumph over the cursed blood of Dracula?
Our director Dennis de Gruijter, a LEF actor and long-time fan of classic Gothic horror tales, has chosen and refined a theatrical adaptation that stays as close to the 1897 source material as possible.
Ticket reservations are now open via email@example.com , or at the Lipsius booth from 30 November – 12 December. Tickets are €12,50, and €8,50 for students. The play starts at 19.00.
