LUCL Colloquium 28 May
On 28 May Professor Susan Rothstein (Bar-Ilan University) will give a talk entitled "Toward a grammar of counting and measuring".
Information
Prof. Susan Rothstein is a faculty member in the English department at the Bar-Ilan University and a fellow of the Gonda Brain Research Center. This semester she is also a guest at LUCL. She does research on theoretical semantics, brain and language, aspect, predication and the syntax-semantics interface. Currently she is involved in several projects including theoretical and crosslinguistic explorations of the aspectual systems in the verbal and nominal domains as well as a number of interdisciplinary projects about language, compositionality and the brain. The talk she will give at this colloquium is entitled "toward a grammar of counting and measuring".
After the talk by Prof. Susan Rothstein from 15.30 till 16.30 pm, a brief presentation will be given by Willemijn Heeren and Jos Pacilly (Phonetics Laboratory) entitled “KlinkerMikken & KlankKleuren”.
