Within LIAS and beyond, the School of Asian Studies (SAS) functions as a network for the advancement of cooperation in teaching and research across disciplinary, area and period specializations. SAS activities include the organization of academic and social events, identification of opportunities for the acquisition of research funding, outreach, and so on. The current Head of School is Nira Wickramasinghe.
