The PhD council meets regularly with the LIAS management team and has a representative in the LIAS Advisory Board. The Council aims to stay informed and to play an active role in developments that may concern PhD candidates, within LIAS and/or the university at large. The Council operates as an intermediary between PhD candidates and the LIAS management team, and aspires to identify and negotiate threats and opportunities for PhD candidates.
In addition, the PhD Council regularly organizes social events to give PhD candidates the opportunity to meet their colleagues and peers, in order to enhance a collaborative research environment. These events include drinks after each LIAS PhD seminar and informal lunches every Wednesday in the Lipsius cafeteria.
If you, as a LIAS PhD candidate, have questions, suggestions or problems, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will do our best to assist in finding an answer/solution to your question/problem.
We look forward to seeing you at our academic and social events!
