Directions for those who come by public transport or car.

Public Transport

Leiden University Centre for the Study of Religion is located in "Witte Singelcomplex", Matthias de Vrieshof 1, only a 10-minute walk from Leiden Central Station. The route is indicated on the map.
Alternatively you could take bus 1 and get off at "Paterstraatje", or bus 48, 49 and get off at "Noordeinde".

The Leiden University Visitor's Centre at Leiden Central Station (follow the signs at the front (city) end of the station) will also be glad to help you out with directions.

Car

When you come via A4 motorway, take exit 7 and follow the signs to "Leiden Centrum". At the end of the "Lammenschansweg" cross the bridge ("Jan van Houtbrug") and go left onto the "Jan van Houtkade". At the end of this street go left, cross the bridge and go right. You are now on the "Witte Singel". For further details, see the map.

If you come via the A44 motorway, take exit 8. Follow the "Plesmanlaan" straight to "Morssingel" at the centre. For further details, see the map.

Parking

On all routes to the university buildings you will find signs to car parks. The most convenient ones are located at the "Haagweg" (from €4,- up to €12,- per day) and the "Maliebaan" (university car park). You can walk from the Haagweg to the University buildings at the Witte Singel in about 10 minutes. If you need to go to the city centre, a free bus will take you there from the Haagweg parking.
