Dialang entrance test
Dialang is an on-line test which has been developed with European support to assess language proficiency in 14 European languages. The test results are provided for each skill: writing, grammar, vocabulary, listening and reading.

The Dialang test at the Language Centre
- You can do the Dialang entrance test at the Language Centre any day Monday to Friday, at either 10.00 or 14.00.
- You must make an appointment to do the test. Please send an e-mail to: talencentrum@hum.leidenuniv.nl
- The test will take approximately 1.5 hours.
- The Language Centre aims to provide you with immediate feedback and advice on completion of the test.
- If necessary, the Language Centre will suggest an interview with the teacher by phone.

What do you have to do?
- Go to Dialang to download and set up the test.
- Download the instructions.
- Do the test (1,5 hours).
- Use the web form to send the Language Centre your data. LUC students: please use this form.
- After sending in the results, you will see directly which course you may enrol in.
- When in doubt, please contact the Language Centre (talencentrum@hum.leidenuniv.nl)
Enrolment for a course based on the advice of the Language Centre after taking the entrance exam, is solely the responsibility of the person intending to take the course.
