Housing

For students of the International Studies programme from outside of the Netherlands, housing will be available in either Leiden or The Hague. The Housing Office of Leiden University mediates in finding housing for international bachelor's, master's and and exchange students.

On their website Student Housing you can find general information on housing facilities and specific information on rooms and apartments in Leiden and The Hague. Facilities

Leiden University offers a wide range of facilities, both in Leiden and in The Hague. In the English-language brochure 'Finding your way around Leiden', you can read more about these facilities and relevant information on living in Leiden.

  • Sports
    You have access to all of Leiden University’s sports facilities, both in Leiden and in The Hague.

  • Library
    You have access to the Leiden University library in Leiden and the subsidiary library in The Hague. The Hague also houses many other libraries, including the Koninklijke Bibliotheek (Royal Library), which is a copyright library located close to the university facilities in The Hague.

  • IT 
    Students will have access to all Leiden University IT facilities.

  • Support
    Leiden University has set up a support system for students that includes help with administrative matters, but also close supervision of the student’s progress.
