The Advisory Committee on Teaching wants to promote the quality of the teaching at the Faculty of Humanities. For that purpose, every year the Committee awards the Faculty of Humanities Teaching Award. Winning this prize is not only a sign of appreciation for the teacher, but also reflects to the credit of the programme as a whole. Attached to the prize is a gratification of €1.000,-.

Nominations

Every group of three students, all study associations and Departmental Teaching Committee (OLC) may nominate one candidate by filling out this form. You can send this form to onderwijsprijsfgw@gmail.com. Pay particular attention to the motivation!

Not every teacher teaches both semesters. Therefore, there are two nomination rounds. The first nomination round was in the autumn of 2015. The deadline for this second nomination round is 14 March 2016.

The Advisory Committee on Teaching will then assess the nominated candidates on the basis of quality of the lectures which they visit, of the Teachingal materials supplied and of the motivation in the letter of nomination. Thereafter, the Advisory Committee on Teaching will compile a shortlist of 3 candidates. These candidates will be invited to Faculty Opening of the Academic Year in September 2016, during which the winner of the Faculty of Humanities Teaching Award 2016 will be announced.
