The history of ideas in the early modern Europe; the European Reformation and Counter-Reformation; Renaissance humanism; reception of the church fathers, esp. Augustine; intermediality; word-image relationships.
Curriculum vitae
Arnoud Visser (*1973) studied Classics at Leiden University, where he received his doctorate in 2003. From 2004 to 2009 he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of St Andrews. He was furthermore awarded research fellowships by the Royal Society of Edinburgh, the Institut d’Histoire de la Réformation in Geneva, The Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study in Wassenaar, and Princeton University Library.
