Supplementum Epigraphicum Graecum

Welcome to the homepage of Supplementum Epigraphicum Graecum (SEG), the annual bibliography of Greek epigraphy. In these pages the editors want to present SEG, its history and future, news and recent developments. We hope that the site will provide the opportunity for scholars not familiar with SEG to have a look at its contents and to explore its contribution to the study of Greek history and related fields. The site also contains the list of abbreviations used in SEG XXXVI – XLV. We hope that all epigraphists will use these abbreviations and that the list might contribute to standardization in epigraphic studies.

Please note that SEG has a new home-address: www.history.leidenuniv.nl/seg.

We welcome comments and suggestions. Above all, we kindly request scholars from all over the world to send us off-prints or copies of their epigraphical publications, particularly those that appear in Festschriften, Acts of conferences and symposia, occasional collections of papers, and less accessible or new periodicals. We also appreciate all references to relevant publications, particularly when the title of a study does not disclose its epigraphic content.
