Itinerario

International Journal on the History of European Expansion and Global Interaction

Itinerario was founded in 1977 by the staff of the Institute for European Expansion in Leiden. It has since then developed into an internationally renowned and fully refereed journal. It offers a publishing platform for research on the history of European expansion both in its Western and non-Western contexts, and its impact on world history in general. In addition, the journal offers a well-respected review section and each issue contains an interview with a noted scholar. The journal is published by Cambridge University Press three times a year and can be consulted online via their website.

Itinerario is affiliated with the Leiden Institute of Area Studies (LIAS) and the forum on European Expansion and Global Interaction (FEEGI) in the US.
