Master's programmes

In addition to a number of one-year programmes, a two-year Master's programme in Education is offered for those students who aspire to a career as a secondary-school teacher.

Very talented students, with a keen interest in research and the academic world, can apply for the two-year Research Master's programme.


A selection procedure determines which students are admitted to the programme. There are eight Research Master's programmes: four of them dealing with regional topics (Africa, Asia, Middle East, Latin and Indian America), and four ’dealing with individual disciplines (Linguistics, Literature, History and Art History).
