The Penn/Leiden Colloquia on Ancient Values

Since 2000, the Leiden University Department of Classics and the Department of Classical Studies of the University of Pennsylvania have coorganized a series of biennial colloquia on various aspects of ancient discourse on (societal) values. Five volumes have appeared so far with Brill in Leiden. Each colloquium is focused on a single theme which is from diverse perspectives and sub-disciplines.

The next colloquium is planned for Spring 2012 in Leiden. The organizers are Christoph Pieper (Leiden University) and James Ker (University of Pennsylvania).
