Programme Advisor

Every department (or degree programme) has a Programme Advisor (studie coördinator). The Programme Advisor knows all the ins and outs of the programme and can help with possible problems. Typical subjects to discuss with the Programme Advisor are: programme schedule (and delay) and exam regulations.


Study associations

A Study Association is not the same as a student association or club. Study associations are for students from a particular degree programme and focus on the academic aspects of student life.


International Student Network (ISN)

ISN-Leiden is a student organisation that aims to give the international student an interesting, exciting, and all-out great time in Leiden. We give you the opportunity to meet other international and Dutch students, get to know Dutch student life, and get a feel for Dutch culture.


Crossing Cultures

In the relaxing atmosphere of the International Student common room international students can discuss and share with each other the issues, challenges and discoveries they are encountering as foreign students in Leiden.


Computer facilities

Services related to the University Leiden Community Network (ULCN) and the computers in the Faculty of Humanities.


Language Courses

The Academic Language Centre offers a wide range of courses. You can can take Dutch or English as a second language in various levels.


Career Service

The Career Service provides students and alumni of Humanities with professional advice and guidance in finding (international) work placements and jobs, courses in career planning and job applications, and booklets on job-hunting, job applications and CVs. The Career Service commands its very own multi-media resource centre, where you can look up various career sites or consult online recruitment agencies and vacancy websites.
